FROM THE FOUNDER
The questions
that brought
me here.
I started DOWNWAVE because I wanted to look harder at the stories shaping my own beliefs.
I formed my opinions through facts, experience, and what I could observe. Looking closer made me question how those beliefs took shape. I wanted to understand how people and institutions change information along the way—and whether the things I believed still held up.
I’m drawn to subjects people often avoid in conversation. I have a point of view, and I want to test it. That means following a story from beginning to end, checking what we can observe, and keeping unanswered questions visible. Better evidence can change my mind.
This search helps me make sense of the world. I hope it helps you do the same.
